Power users for documents or email love keyboard shortcuts. They help to keep your hands on the keys and away from the mouse. So, thoughts can flow without having to worry about switching from mouse or pad to keyboard and back. Google Drive has shortcuts to help us be productive.

An easy to access the list of shortcuts is to hit Ctrl + ? in Windows or Command + ? on a Mac. It pops up a window that shows you all of your options when it comes to shortcuts.

In 1991, people began using PGP, “Pretty Good Privacy”,  encryption tools in order to secure emails. There have been updates to the tools, algorithms, and compatibility of PGP, but it has been a reliable method to keep emails read by only those that you wanted.  That is until recently. An exposure was found that allows an outside person to see the plain text of an encrypted email. This is not just for new emails sent, but also for any that a person may have stored on their computer.  As of 5/22/2018, a fix has not be released.

 Many experts advise that the tools using PGP should be disabled in order to bypass the vulnerability.  Most email clients including Thunderbird, iOS mail app, and Exchange have plugins that use these tools.  Board members may use these tools in order to send private messages to other board members.

 Any users that may have messages encrypted with PGP and stored should just be aware that these messages could be read by another individual now if they are able to obtain them.
